‘Produce 101 Season 2′ Son Dongmyeong, RBW first debut… “Goals for the second half of the year” [Official]
Son Dongmyeong, RBW trainee, who has received a lot of love with his ‘Dongmyeong’s gymnastics’ in Mnet ‘Produce 101 Season 2′ will debut soon.
Son Dongmyeong’s agency, RBW, said “Son Dongmyeong, who appeared in ‘Produce 101 Season 2′ and received attention with his outgoing and bright personality, will be joining the band ‘MAS’ as a member. He’s preparing to debut in the second half of the year.”
Son Dongmyeong has received a lot of love in ‘Produce 101 Season 2′ and was nicknamed ‘Shin Chan’ from the animation ‘Crayon Shin Chan’ because he was always seen smiling and looking playful, but he showed a different side of his bright personality during the group battle evaluation. On BEAST’ ‘Shock’ stage he displayed great vocals despite having injured his leg and gained recognition.
MAS, the band Son Dongmyeong is joining, accumulated skills even before debuting throught buskings and numerous live performances. They’re a rookie group already known as a talented band in the Hongdae band scene.
Furthermore, people started talking about MAS last year when they introduced the song ‘15초 후’ (’15 Seconds Later’) on SBS MTV ‘The Show’, which was composed by Seo Yongbae, the famous composer of GFRIEND’s ’Glass Bead’, ‘Me Gustas Tu’, ‘Rough’ etc. We’re looking forward the debut of the rookie band Son Dongmyeong is joining.
In April, the band MAS signed an exclusive contract with RBW. The company own skilled artists of various genre like MAMAMOO, VROMANCE, Yangpa, Basick etc. They said “They’re preparing to show a new side, making their debut not as a dance groupe but as a band. We hope you give them a lot of support and love.”
RBW Entertainement said “We’re grateful for the big amount of love and support the RBW trainees who participated in ‘Produce 101 Season 2′ received. In the future, we’ll work hard in training great artists,” before adding, “ We’re asking you to look forward and support them.”
Meanwhile, Son Dongmyeong is preparing to join the band MAS for its debut.
